The hot Vegas weather is finally beginning to cool down a little, and by that I mean we are dipping just under triple digits every now and then. This means, for all of us in the desert, fall is on its way in and that means one thing: FOOD.

The awesome thing in regards to partnering with different organizations in the Las Vegas valley throughout the summer with Week of Hope summer camps is that I get to keep in touch with them during the rest of the year when camps are not going on. I enjoy keeping you all up to date with all the activities throughout the year with different organizations because, after all, we are here to build relationships with the community and the number goal of all of this is to share the Good News of the Gospel and fulfill the Great Commission.

This fall, the Las Vegas Rescue Mission is hosting a food drive to help feed the homeless. The food drives will begin on October 15th and will run through December 15th. Here are some suggested items to donate:

  • Instant potatoes
  • canned vegetables
  • canned soup
  • rice
  • pasta
  • stuffing
  • cranberries
  • ramen noodles
  • anything non-perishable
