Revelation 21:5

New International Version (NIV)

5 He who was seated on the throne  said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

Each year, Group Mission Trips creates a theme for the camps and that theme is resonated throughout the camp week. This year’s theme was designed around Revelation 21:5 and focused on being MADE NEW. When the volunteers come out to serve they are given a daily devotional that is to be done during lunch at the sites they are serving. These devotionals break down the theme and throw out questions that these youth can discuss with each other and their adult leader. There are many times that, through these devotions and through the volunteers diligently doing them each day, many of the people they are serving with see this and join in with them.  Not only is this a great example of evangelism, but it also contributes to Spiritual Growth in teenagers. It helps bring a Spiritual aspect to the camp that makes this a wonderful experience for those who come to volunteer. It also helps young people dig into Scripture and either begin or strengthen their relationship with Christ.
