Just wrapped up week two for Week of Hope Las Vegas. This week we had a group of seventy five youth come in from Colorado to serve Las Vegas. On Sunday, we grilled almost 200 hot dogs and greeted the incoming students with chips, water, and potato salad too.

I thought the youth leader did something very cool with his students. He set up a mystery mission trip. This was something I have never heard of before, but was impressed with the idea. This year Las Vegas made the cut and in came two full charter buses full of youth from his youth group. This week we worked with nine different non-profit and community organizations here in Las Vegas. The kids were great as I received a lot of positive feedback from the participating partner organziations. One of the featured organizations this week was the Las Vegas Rescue Mission and they recently posted on facebook that “the kids are doing an amazing job!”
